Artist’s Statement (2025)

MissDeezer (Diana Lorenzi) is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose practice spans oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting, ceramic hand-building, charcoal drawing, and both two- and three-dimensional assemblage and mixed media work. Her diverse body of work reflects a deep engagement with nature, spirituality, and the subconscious, drawing on the symbolic language of color, texture, and form to convey emotion and concept.

Rooted in a strong foundation of design, her work often challenges traditional boundaries—bending aesthetic rules and reimagining expectations to discover new visual experiences. She finds her most fulfilling artistic moments when venturing beyond the familiar, creating pieces that she herself has not yet seen, in pursuit of the original and the unexpected.

Influenced by natural forms and inner landscapes, MissDeezer uses symbolism and sensory contrasts to articulate feelings that are both deeply personal and universally resonant. Her current work explores complex societal themes and emotional realities faced by many in contemporary American life. Through this, she aims to create art that not only communicates her own perspectives and inner world but also invites reflection, recognition, and connection in others.
